Strengths of a great teacher

A teacher can mould you into something extraordinary, and their memories can leave a lasting imprint on your heart even after the school life ends. Their teachings can shape your perceptions, nourish your ideas, spark your interest and build your personality. Although you do come across some incompetent teachers over the years, you never compare them to a great teacher consciously.

From providing law essay writing help UK to advising about future endeavours, teachers are there for you at all times. Hence, below are some of the strengths of a qualified and reliable teacher.

·Ability to explain difficult concepts in a simplified way

An effective teacher can explain difficult and intricate concepts in a simplified manner. If you look back at your academic career, what was the one trait that separated your teacher from the rest? That’s right. It was their ability to communicate a complex subject very eloquently.

You come across many academic experts in life, but very few of them have the knowledge as well as the ability to convey it effectively. Students easily get intimidated by complicated terms and subjects, but this is when a great teacher plays their part. No matter how difficult the subject might seem, they make you fall in love with it.

·Inculcate positive virtues and boost confidence

They say strong leaders always lead by examples, and the same is true for teachers. Considering the prominent role they play in the lives of their students, it is essential that teachers lead by setting positive examples. They can influence their students and guide them even without their knowledge.

When the majority of students in class pay attention and meet deadlines effectively, it is usually because the teacher has inculcated virtues of punctuality and responsibility in them. Furthermore, a great teacher will ensure that students feel confident about their knowledge and skills in their respective subjects, at least.

Strong organisational and execution skills

Before the teacher moves on to this part, they must formulate a teaching plan that is to be followed strictly. This would primarily favour them by ensuring that they stay on track with the time and keep the classes productive. This is why they need to possess strong organisational skills. Hence, a teacher evaluates the course outline, plans out individual lesson plans, and makes sure that they follow it stringently. However, one problem with this behaviour is that they often become too rigid in the process. In such a scenario, a great teacher would ensure that they keep their lessons flexible but also finish it on time.

Perseverance for excellence and learning

This is a major factor that distinguishes a great teacher from someone who is not so great. It is often noticed that teachers get offended when they are proven wrong in class because they are egotistical. However, any great teacher would know that the only way to get better is to adopt the role of a student. For them, everyone is a teacher, and they learn something new every day. They constantly strive for excellence and continue learning and growing.
